Day Three - Monday 1 October
Lakeland to Cooktown 85km
Breakfast - from 5.30 am
Cereals, bread / toast spreads juice, fruit, yoghurt, tea and coffee.
Bacon and eggs roll also provided by the SES for a small cost
Ride Start
Staggered starts from 7.00am with the slower packs leading out first.
This will have been explained at the briefing at dinner. If you don’t attend the briefing make sure you find out the instructions… before we are due to start!!
Re-group for mass ride... why?
So we can do a mass ride under Police Escort through the streets of Cooktown and make sure everyone comes in to celebrate together
Remember – for some this will be a huge achievement milestone
Faster riders can do an alternative circuit or under Escort ride back to assist the slower packs
Others… well they just wait

We want a great photo of all participants so please be patient while this gets organised and don’t wander off!! Lunch and celebrations will be soon enough!!
Lunch
On the Banks of the Endeavour River – please don’t become the Crocs lunch
Bar will be provided by the Cooktown Re-Enactment committee
Camping Cooktown School
Camping, toilets and showers – in the school grounds (Extra Porta-loos and showers on site
Lots of alternatives for accommodation in Cooktown but if travelling back by bus on Tuesday don’t forget to be at the school for departure by 9.00am sharp and you should pack and load your bike on Monday night with the bulk of your gear. You can take a small pack on the bus with you.
Gala Dinner from 6.30pm – Drinks from 6.00pm at Cooktown Events Centre
After dinner there will be some speeches and awards and novelty activities / entertainment
The bar will be run by the Cooktown Re-Enactment committee
Bus travellers need to seek out the bus driver to confirm they will be travelling back on the bus if they haven’t already
