The Route
Day 3
Day 2
Day 1

Welcome to the third fundraising bike ride from Cairns to Cooktown. Our first and second were great successes so let’s see what we can do in these hard times!

This years ride of 335km will be held over 3 days, 26 September – 28 September during the last of week of the Queensland school holidays. Daily riding distances are comfortable rides of approximately 136km, 114km and 85km respectively over-nighting at Mt Carbine, Lakeland and finishing in Cooktown. Supported drinks stops will be arranged approximately every 20km. Click on the 3 stages of the route map (right) for a detailed view. These maps will soon contain more information about each day's riding.

In Cooktown, we hope you will stay to join with us for dinner and a celebratory / presentation evening. If not, though, arrival in Cooktown should permit adequate time for you to get back to Cairns in daylight. Please be available however for the official Cooktown Mayoral welcome and group photos though.

Transportation and freight assistance for unsupported riders will be arranged. Details will be finalised once numbers are confirmed on receipt of the entry nominations. You must let us know so numbers can be catered for.

The ride is a fun and enjoyable event – ‘it’s not a race’ and remember for some it will be a ‘PB’ and something they would never have dreamed they could do.

Riders will be required to ride in group formation and are asked to follow basic rules of pack riding etiquette to ensure safety. Training and advice about this will be offered on the ride if necessary.
